Tap Dance Class (Ages 7+)

Join us for an exciting Tap Dance class at the Northern Institute of Dance, designed for dancers ages 7 and older. This class introduces students to the fundamentals of tap while building rhythm, coordination, musicality, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Dancers will explore classic and contemporary tap techniques, learn proper footwork, timing, and sound clarity, and develop performance skills under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Whether your child is new to tap or looking to expand their dance training, this class offers a strong foundation and an engaging experience.

Uniform and Dress Code
Dancers are asked to wear a fitted black dance top or leotard with black capri leggings or fitted dance pants that allow for ease of movement. Proper black lace-up tap shoes with metal taps are required to support sound clarity, rhythm, and safe technique. Hair should be neatly secured away from the face to maintain focus during class. This uniform helps create a unified, professional learning environment while allowing dancers to move confidently and comfortably.
Dance Studio
Our dance studio is located at 1823 1st Avenue, Prince George, BC, V2L 2Y8. Our studio is built with sprung flooring and marley dance floor to ensure for the best dancing experience for our students.
